Teeth Whitening in
Tampa

Teeth whitening treatments are designed to brighten a person’s teeth and eliminate stains. White teeth are often one of the first things a person thinks of when they picture a pleasant smile. Unfortunately, many people find that their smile darkens and yellows over time.

Teeth Whitening Treatment

What makes professional whitening unique is that it addresses both the internal and external staining that causes teeth to appear discolored. It’s important to understand that achieving a brighter smile involves more than just whitening the outer surface. In order to achieve true color enhancement, staining must be eliminated from both the inside and the outside. Professional whitening treatments make use of advanced oxygen ions to penetrate the surfaces of the teeth and attack the internal staining. This is truly the best way to achieve a brightened smile that looks remarkably natural and noticeably whiter.

Westchase Smiles Institute Institute provides whitening treatments using the Zoom! Teeth Whitening System. Zoom! treatment consists of an advanced bleaching process that brightens an individual’s teeth all the way from the external enamel to the interior dentin. Receiving this treatment is rather simple. Our experts start the process by covering the patient’s gums and lips. From there, the specialized Zoom! hydrogen peroxide gel is applied directly to the patient’s exposed teeth. A chairside lamp is used to activate this gel so that it rapidly produces powerful oxygen ions. The ions will enter the inside of the teeth, thereby whitening the structures from the inside and out. In most cases, the entire process can be completed in roughly 45 minutes. Patients generally find that the process is very easy and comfortable.

After receiving treatment with Zoom! whitening gel, there are many things a patient should do in order to maintain their brightened smile. The most important of which is to maintain proper oral care habits. These habits include brushing twice per day, flossing once per day and visiting our practice at least once every six months for a complete dental checkup. Patients should also avoid using tobacco products and consuming dark colored beverages that can cause staining. By following these guidelines, the patient is sure to get the most out of their whitening treatment.

My father was in town for my sister's wedding and had one of his front fillings come out two days before the wedding. Dr. Cesar Chilmaza was able to get him last minute and did an amazing job. My father said that he did a better job fixing it than the original filling! Not only did he do a great job, he and his staff we so friendly and knowledgeable and did everything in their power to help take care of him. Thanks to Dr. Cesar my sister's wedding photos won't be a disaster!

Cesar is amazingly kind and patient with my endless questions. I'm ridiculously terrified of the dentist and they somehow understand my fears while gently coaxing me to follow the treatment plan they recommend. They're also open evenings for those of us still working. Simply put, they're quite delightful!
