Apicoectomy

Targeted Solutions for Lasting Dental Health

If only a small part of your tooth is infected, an apicoectomy may be the right solution for you. An apicoectomy is similar to a root canal, but on a smaller scale, and only removes the tip of the infected tooth root before sealing it up.

With a root canal, the entirety of the affected tooth pulp is removed. An apicoectomy removes only a portion, allowing the pulp to potentially regrow without infection.
